First an internship, now an apprenticeship: Leander Otto initially got to know Hübner Giessen when he completed an internship at the company during his time at school. Back then, he instantly felt inspired by our encoders for the heavy-duty industry and our international working environment. On September 1st this year, Otto began his apprenticeship with us, training to become a qualified industrial manager.
An internship with an international touch
During his time at school, Leander Otto already made the most of the opportunity to explore various fields of work at Hübner Giessen. His internship introduced him to the company’s Electronics Production and Sales departments, in which he was not only impressed by the extremely robust and powerful solutions but also the wide variety of tasks involved in our sales activities: “I found international sales and the meeting with a representative from Saudi-Arabia particularly interesting”, states Leander Otto.
A door-opener for many opportunities
The 17-year-old went on to make the very conscious decision to train as an industrial manager: “I consider the profession to be extremely diverse and believe that it will open many doors for my future career.” According to Otto, the apprenticeship will provide him with a solid foundation for further stages of his career and means that he does not yet have to decide on his entire future professional life.
Insights into all departments
The three-year apprenticeship is just as diverse as the new apprentice’s future career prospects. At the start, Leander Otto got to know the processes in place in the Hübner Giessen warehouse. Here, he was quickly able to work independently, for example when processing incoming goods and entering delivery notes. His next stop is the company headquarters, and he will go on to gradually experience all of our departments. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Leander Otto an interesting, varied and successful time here at Hübner Giessen.
